11th Annual Northern Michigan Golf Trip (2009) – Post Trip Summary

The 2009 trip to Cadillac and Crystal Mountain provided another great golf outing. Although the weather did not cooperate, the courses were nice and the company was great. Thanks to everyone that went. Unfortunately a cold front with record lows decided to blow threw while we were there. The highs ranged from the mid 50’s to mid 60’s with rain each day. It’s not often that any of us golf in July wearing winter clothing! At least the rain held off while we were actually golfing (for the most part). Why did we decide to do the trip in mid July? Oh yeah, to ensure we had warm weather. Well, maybe next year. I think the general consensus was that the Eldorado in Cadilllac was the best course of the trip. The condo at Crystal Mountain was excellent, accommodating our needs perfectly. Below is a summary of the trip’s results:

Most Alcohol Consumed: It was a tie between Paul and Monroe. Two fifths of JD in one night?

Loudest Snorer: Bob Smith wasn’t present this year and I had my own room. So, I don’t know. (That’s how I like it!)

Farthest Club Throw: Freeman was not present this year, so I don’t think there were any club throws.

Most Balls Lost: Could have been any one of us. Anyone care to claim this prize?

The Loudest "!#$%!", I mean "fore": Again, Freeman was not present this year, so there was no foul language.

Most Notable Performance (or lack of): It was probably Jeff’s booming negative 12 inch drive?
